MelanBrand Skin is a natural skincare brand for Black and brown kids founded by mother-son duo Patrice Chappelle and Bron Echols. When Bron struggled with dryness as a child, Patrice searched everywhere for skincare made for young melanated skin and found nothing beyond basic soap and lotion. Just before Bron's 12th birthday, she invested 1,200 dollars into launching his skincare venture in place of a traditional birthday party, teaching him the value of building a lasting legacy. Established in 2023, the company made Bron a co-founder and Co-CEO before his teens.

Every product is vegan, gluten-free, cruelty-free, and free from parabens, phthalates, and formaldehyde, formulated to address the real concerns of melanated skin including dryness, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, and acne-prone skin. The MelanKids three-step Fresh Face system builds foundational skincare habits early, while the MelanMoisture collection delivers intense relief for dry to extra dry skin.

More than a skincare brand, MelanBrand Skin is a movement for self-love, teaching kids of color to love the skin they are in and to know they can own something, not just consume it.
